About Me

Hello, I'm Bryan Colbert, the founder of American Escrow Reconciliation. With over 24 years of experience in escrow audit and reconciliation, I have built, scaled, and managed successful reconciliation services and companies, always striving for excellence and precision.

My Journey

My professional journey began after graduating from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, majoring in finance and minoring in accounting. During my time at UGA, I was a Hope scholarship recipient, made the dean's list, and was honored as a presidential scholar.

My career in the escrow industry kicked off at Wachovia Bank, where I honed my skills in customer account management and fraud monitoring. This experience laid the foundation for my transition to Fidelity National Financial, where I performed field audits and developed operational controls to prevent fraud and ensure compliance with state regulations.

Building Expertise

Over the years, I have held key positions at notable organizations, including:

• Qualia Labs: As the Reconciliation Quality Assurance Manager, I created operational processes for a national reconciliation service, scaled the organization to over 40 employees, and developed QA standards. I also played a supportive role in sales and developed a potential audit program for underwriter use.

• Aprio, LLP: As the Director of the national reconciliation service, I led daily operations, developed partnerships with national underwriters and software companies, and trained accounting staff on multiple escrow reconciliation platforms.

• Fidelity National Financial: Here, I performed field audits, identified operational controls, and ensured agency compliance with state regulatory requirements.

• Entrust Solutions: As the South East Account Manager, I managed escrow accounts, produced month-end reports, and performed audits in preparation for underwriter audits.

• Old Republic National Title Insurance Company: In my role as Auditor, I performed field audits and investigated escrow and trust account defalcations.

Founding AER

In 2006, I founded American Escrow Reconciliation (AER)/EscrowPROS, where I served as President/CEO until 2013. At AER, I managed and maintained over 130 clients' escrow accounts, generated and audited all escrow accounts, and maintained professional relationships with national title agencies, attorneys, and real estate law firms.

Skills and Proficiencies

I am proficient in a variety of escrow accounting software platforms, including Ramquest, Landtech, SoftPro, Title Express, Resware, QuickBooks, Rynoh, and Qualia. My extensive experience in title insurance underwriting audit and analysis, combined with my expertise in escrow account management and security, ensures that I can provide top-notch services to my clients.
